We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Suppression Technician to join our team in the critical task of installing, inspecting, maintaining, and servicing fire suppression systems. As a Fire Suppression Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective operation of various fire suppression technologies and equipment, safeguarding lives and property in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

Responsibilities:

• Installation and Setup: Collaborate with team members to install and configure a range of fire suppression systems, including gas-based, foam-based, and chemical-based systems, as well as specialized technologies such as kitchen hood suppression systems.

• Inspections and Testing: Conduct regular inspections and thorough testing of fire suppression systems to ensure their operational efficiency and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on existing fire suppression systems to guarantee optimal functionality. Identify and rectify technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of system installations, inspections, tests, repairs, and any related activities. Prepare and submit detailed reports to internal teams and regulatory authorities as required.

• Technical Expertise: Stay updated with the latest advancements in fire suppression technologies and industry best practices. Apply technical knowledge to diagnose complex system malfunctions and implement effective solutions.

• Emergency Response: Participate in on-call rotations to provide timely responses to emergency service requests, ensuring rapid resolution of critical system issues.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations while working on-site. Identify potential hazards and implement necessary precautions to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

​

• Experience: Previous experience as a Fire Suppression Technician or in a related role is preferred. Relevant experience in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems can also be valuable.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in the installation, maintenance, and repair of various fire suppression systems, including gas, foam, and chemical-based systems. Familiarity with related tools and equipment.

• Knowledge: Strong understanding of local fire codes, regulations, and safety standards relating to fire suppression systems. Knowledge of NFPA standards is a plus.

• Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues and develop effective solutions under pressure.

• Communication: Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, conveying technical information, and interacting with clients.

• Physical Stamina: Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.

• Certifications: Relevant certifications in fire suppression systems, such as NICET or manufacturer-specific certifications, are beneficial.
